Ceramic Components and Insulators



Advanced Cerametrics, Inc. manufactures a broad line of ceramic components. Tools can be fabricated to make long run parts. Short run parts can be pre-fire machined from soft blanks and then hard fired.  To manufacture its ceramic components ACI has available the following forming methods.

  • Wet bag isostatic pressing up to 30,000 psi, 12" X 36" chamber
  • Dry bag isostatic pressing up to 15,000 psi, 1.8" long, 1.0" in diameter
  • Injection molding up to 6" square, 0.300" max thickness, 4.0" long
  • Extrusion up to 4.0" diameter, 1" max wall thickness, 15" long
  • Slip casting up to 15" diameter, .750" wall max, 15" long
  • Wet pressing up to 10" diameter, 2" wall max, 8" long
  • Pre-fire machining up to 9" diameter max, 20" long
  • After fire diamond machining up to 8" diameter tolerance 0.0002" - 0.0008"
ACI's Ceramic Components Are Produced From The Following Materials:

99.8% Aluminum Oxide (Alumina), 99.5% Alumina, 96% Alumina, Yttrium Stabilized Zirconium Oxide, Silicon Carbide, Titanium Dioxide, Electrically Conductive Titanium Sub-Oxide, High Alumina Porcelain with a variety of specialized glazes.
