Complex Injection Molded Parts

Advanced Cerametrics, Inc. has developed an injection molding process that produces a high precision, relatively thick walled, complex shaped ceramic component. This process can make as few as 100 parts and as many as 250,000 parts. The "Near Net Shape" forming procedure permits molding of complex, detailed parts (see photo) without the need for expensive after-fire diamond machining. All of ACI's materials can be injection molded and tolerances can be held to + 0.003" per inch with proper tooling. ACI's engineers and toolmakers provide the technical expertise needed to help you develop cost effective designs and tooling. Send or fax ACI a drawing of your ceramic parts for a quote.
Unless otherwise specified, ACI's standard tolerance is + 0.005" or 1.5%, whichever is greater. Largest size part capacity is 8 oz. with a .300" thick wall. Avoidance of sharp edges and extended thin walls are recommended. Threaded holes or bolts are true for up to 4 turns.
Materials Currently Molded: 99.5% Alumina, 96% Alumina, Yttria Stabilized Zirconia (YTZ), Silicon Carbide, Titanium Dioxide (capacitive or conductive), and Porcelain.
