Advanced Cerametrics, Inc. manufactures a full line of materials and finishes for precision fiber and strand passage. ACI’s materials are formulated from highest quality materials and made to exacting specifications to maximize wear resistance and optimize fiber or strand properties.

Materials

V-100: 99.8 % aluminum oxide ceramic with an extremely fine crystal structure, high strength, very low loss. Excellent for electronic and critical mechanical applications. V-100 is offered as a guide surface to the textile and wire industries. The fine crystal size of V-100 is very gentle to fine fiber and can be polished to 15 - 30 microinches.
A-96: 96% aluminum oxide is used as a long wearing alternative to V-100 at a lower cost. Surface can be polished or glazed. Suitable for metalizing applications.
T-9: This high purity titanium dioxide provides a very smooth guiding surface. Can be polished to a range of 10 to 25 microinches
TC: An electrically conductive version of T-9 which can be used for static elimination & grounding while providing low friction movement.
C6 Porcelain: Excellent mechanical and electrical properties. Superb material for insulators and when glazed, a fine thread guide material.

Finishes

Standard White Glaze: Smooth, wear resistant surface provides excellent low friction movement for minimal cost.
Blue Satin Glaze: The standard guiding surface for fiberglass. The ‘orange peel’ surface provides lower friction and reduced wear.
Durablu Glaze: This glaze is the most durable porcelain glaze available anywhere in the world. It is extremely smooth and wear resistant.
