HEAD revolutionized tennis racquets when they introduced Intellifiber (www.head.com). These racquets contain ACI’s active fiber composite with energy harvesting actuators. Within the first millisecond of the tennis ball striking the racquet, the piezoelectric fibers in the racquet convert the mechanical energy of the ball hitting the racquet into electric energy.
